What a special pop-up card this is! This Popcard shows a beautiful illustration of amaryllises and arum lilies on the front, decorated with a golden butterfly and delicate shiny golden lines. A special printing technique, which in combination with the deep black gives a matt-glossy effect. When you open the Popcard, a pop-up with amaryllises and arum lilies unfolds, together with 3 flying hummingbirds. All symbols for life and death. In the silence of these flowers we find words that cannot be said. The Amaryllis symbolizes the loss of a loved one. The arum lily symbolizes purity and innocence. Mourning and memory are often intertwined in the symbolism of nature. Every flower, every bird can tell us something, embody an emotion, that helps us to process loss and honor the deceased. Each Popcard can be sent as a greeting card and unfolded it becomes special presents. This 3D card was first devised by our designer, after which he made a test model of it manually. After this sample has been approved, the different shapes to be cut out are programmed in a computer. This computer controls a precision laser, which burns the finely detailed details from the various sheets of cardboard with a gossamer hot laser beam. This precise cutting is only possible with a laser. Once all shapes are cut separately, the card is assembled by hand. The card is then packed in a cellophane bag together with an envelope.
