Each Popcard can be sent as a greeting card and unfolded it becomes special presents. This 3D card was first devised by our designer, after which he made a test model of it manually. After this sample has been approved, the different shapes to be cut out are programmed in a computer. This computer controls a precision laser, which burns the finely detailed details from the various sheets of cardboard with a gossamer hot laser beam. This precise cutting is only possible with a laser. Once all shapes are cut separately, the card is assembled by hand. The card is then packed in a cellophane bag together with an envelope. Seahorses in colorful underwater world with fish and coral pop-up greeting card
What a large pop-up greeting card full of beautiful colors! The front is deep dark blue with a beautiful illustration of 2 seahorses cut into it. When you open the map, a colorful underwater scene opens up where you can see everything besides 2 nice brightly colored seahorses. It's a wonder that such a complete scene can be folded shut.
Seahorses are also wonderful fish. Firstly, because they don't look like fish at all, with their horse heads, sucking mouth, long prehensile tail and dorsal fin with which they paddle upright through the water. Their eyes can move independently of each other so they can better catch the tiny lobsters they eat.
Secondly, because the female does not care for the eggs and young herself, the male does that. For this purpose, the male seahorse has a pouch on its belly in which its eggs are hatched - as many as 2,000 at a time. The reproductive process begins when a male and female seahorse dance daily before dawn, intertwining their tails and swimming together. Ultimately, they participate in a true courtship dance, which can last up to eight hours. It ends with the female laying her eggs in the male's brood pouch. He then fertilizes the eggs himself and lets them hatch in the brood pouch. After 2-4 weeks, the newborn seahorses are squeezed out of the pouch by the male and the young continue their lives independently, without care from their parents.
Two species of seahorses live in the Netherlands, of which the short-beaked seahorse is the most common. They grow up to six inches long. They are mainly found in the Oosterschelde, Wadden Sea and North Sea.
