Toucans (Ramphastidae) are a family of birds of the order woodpeckers native to Central and South America. This spectacular rainforest bird is known for its large yellow-black bill. Toucans mainly eat fruits, which they pick with the tip of their beaks, then throw them up and then catch them in the back of their open beaks. In the Netherlands, the toucan is best known for the Avifauna bird park and the Van der Valk catering group, which have made the toucan their symbol.

Each Popcard can be sent as a greeting card and unfolded it becomes special presents. This 3D card was first devised by our designer, after which he made a test model of it manually. After this sample has been approved, the different shapes to be cut out are programmed in a computer. This computer controls a precision laser, which burns the finely detailed details from the various sheets of cardboard with a gossamer hot laser beam. This precise cutting is only possible with a laser. Once all shapes are cut separately, the card is assembled by hand. The card is then packed in a cellophane bag together with an envelope.
